Woods End Lab has developed a new instrument for measuring CO2 respiration in soil samples. The IRTH tool captures CO2 carbon in the test vessel every 20 seconds and records the measurements over time. We are using this tool to measure the impact of Chandler Soil, Biocat 1000, and other treatments on microbial activity in the sample. The picture posted below shows IRTH measuring the rate of microbial decay of this corn ear. We had IRTH on display in our booth at the Greater Peoria Farm Show in December, 2019.
